"In Ad Hoc, delegates portray world leaders, similar to the structure of a crisis room. Delegates are unaware of the committee’s topic until the day of the conference. Through joint-collaboration and quick thinking, delegates must act together to alleviate the crisis."
In their essence, Ad-Hoc committees are temporary committees used to address the United Nation’s most pressing matters. MUNSA strives to host an equitable and engaging conference that mimics the United Nation’s goal of international cooperation within crises. To mimic this collaboration in the most extreme way, the topic, and therefore background paper, of the Ad Hoc committee will NOT be revealed until the day of the conference. In order to aid delegates in researching their room, visual hints will be released on the MUNSA website in the weeks leading up to the conference. Furthermore, delegates will base their position papers on the hints posted and on an overall report of their assigned leader’s viewpoints. As for now, the nature of this crisis is uncertain, so delegates must come prepared to think quickly and elaborate efficiently throughout the MUNSA conference.
